Very beautiful suite. Tasteful with all the room you could need. Staff created great breakfast every day. Location couldn’t be more central. A very stylish apartment.

Our stay at villa 1740 was incredible. This newly-opened accommodation was impeccable; from the quiet, clean and thoughtfully-designed rooms, the carefully curated shared spaces, rooftop patio with views along Pedlar Street out to the ramparts and the ocean, right through to the delicious breakfast.

I cannot recommend this property more highly. Will definitely be the first place we check ahead of any future trips to Galle.

We loved our stay here. It was just perfect and I would highly recommend it. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room had an amazing outdoor shower. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The house has been beautifully and sympathetically restored. It’s a hidden gem within the Fort.

I hate to rave about this place, because it will no dout become popular. But it certainly deserves to. Really sympathetic renovation has created a superb space. Modern, chic, airy. The terrace in particular is possibly the best place in Galle to watch the sunset from. There. The cat’s out of the bag.

We spent two wonderful days here in this accommodation in Galle. We were very warmly welcomed - even with cold refreshment towels and a fine drink…much appreciated after a long journey by train/tuk tuk. Everything is so clean and quiet…a nice break from the last hectic and warm days. We loved the quiet location, the well-kept and well-thought out interior/design and the great roof terrace. I highly recommend it. Thanks to the team.

We had two nights here and absolutely loved it. The accommodation has been completely renovated in a very tasteful style. Although the rooms weren’t large, they had everything we needed. We loved using the rooftop area in the morning. The breakfasts were delicious, both Sri Lankan and English. It’s in a great location and all the staff there were really helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again
